Choose the "Tom Dickie & The Desires" option from Band Pages and you can here a "working studio version" of a brand new Desires song, "Drove You Away", written by Jon Macey and Tom Dickie that was recorded during the making of Jon's "Actuality In Process" CD. The song features most of the original Desires line-up, including Tom on lead vocal and guitars, Jon on bass and vocals, Mike Roy on lead guitar and vocals, and ex FoxPass alumni John Jules on drums. This is just a taste of the songs on the forthcoming Tom Dickie and The Desires CD. Again, it is only a studio version..but I think you'll agree...it's great!

After FoxPass and before The Desires, Jon was still working on his music. Around 1978 Jon and I set up a 4-track "studio" ( OK, a 4-track tape deck and a couple of mikes, a keyboard, and some drums ), in his basement in Arlington, MA and recorded a ton of songs as possible future demos. When the Desires came about, Jon moved to NY and the studio was shut down. A few of the songs we recorded did end up as Desires tunes, and others were used in Macey's Parade or in Jon's solo efforts, but the majority just became lost to history. The link below will let you listen to one of these "lost songs", Radio Party, recorded in the basement on 4-track in 1978. Jon does the vocals, bass and keyboards while Mike Roy plays Lead guitar and drums. Again, its is ONLY a 4-track demo, so don't expect a lot, but I think it will give you a good insite into the wealth of tunes Jon has written. Have fun!
